Open to all levels of ability and to anyone from age 7, the classes are taught by a highly experienced team of Black Belt Instructors. The club prides itself on the integrity of the teaching and the subsequent quality of its students!
You’ll find the classes are very welcoming, with a great mix of informality and fun to include children and those new to the activities, but still keeping the tradition and challenges which make it so appealing to adults wanting to gain physical fitness, self-defence, and mental strength. The positive and encouraging ethos of the club is what we believe keeps both the children and adults engaged, and with a teaching style that allows development without students feeling under pressure. The emphasis is on enjoyment and personal achievement, there is no pressure to grade quickly, and unlike some other organisations we neither charge, nor push, for gradings - all of our students know that they have earned their belts!
We are a great place for adults, mums, dads and children to all train together and to make new friends while getting fit, gaining self-confidence and having fun. We see and treat every student as part of our Karate family.
Our classes are on Tuesdays, 6:15 to 7:30pm and Fridays 5:15 to 6:30pm for children and adults.
We have a "Pay On The Door" policy of £5 per lesson. There is an Annual Association membership fee of £20. This includes insurance and grading book. Karate Gi’s are £15 for children and £18 for adults. Although gradings are free, we charge £5 for new belts, recycled ones are free. Re-cycling of old belts is encouraged. All Club Instructors are CRB checked and hold PII.
Our Ninja Club is a unique play-based martial arts activity programme which gives your 4 to 7 year old child an active start in life. Our lively, fun sessions provide an introduction to some basic martial arts skills as well as encouraging the development of motor skills, physical movement, discipline, focus and communication.
